Cleaning your car during a pandemic

7/16/2020 (Permalink)

Some of us take pride in cleaning our vehicles and some of us dread it. Unfortunately, during a global pandemic all of us have to make an effort to stop the spread of virus'. This includes routine preventative cleaning of your car!

Below I have outlined ways to keep you and your car virus free.

  • Routine cleanings of the exterior and interior
  • Use CDC approved cleaner for the interior and exterior touch points.
  • Shampoo carpet, mats, and upholstery regularly
  • Ensure that you are constantly cleaning door handles, steering wheel, center console, and dashboard

We have seen a lot of people using their rear view mirror as a place to put their masks when not being used. While this is a great idea to ensure you mask does not end up on the floor or in a dirty glove compartment it does come with its own problems. Believe it or not, rear view mirrors are a high touch point of most vehicles. When conducting your routine cleanings ensure that you allow dwell time for all touch points including rear view mirrors before wiping.
